The PiggyVerse Constitution
This document establishes the foundational principles, governance structure, and immutable rules of PiggyVerse. It represents the social contract between all participants in the ecosystem.
Preamble
We, the citizens of PiggyVerse, in order to create a fair, transparent, and sustainable digital society, do hereby establish this Constitution as the supreme law of our community.
Fundamental Principle of Decentralization
PiggyVerse shall remain a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), where power is distributed among its members according to this Constitution. No single entity, save for the constitutional safeguards held by Poiki, shall have unilateral control over the community.
The Role of Poiki
Poiki, as the founder and constitutional guardian, holds 1,000,000 votes as a safeguard mechanism. This power may only be exercised to:
- Veto proposals that fundamentally violate this Constitution
- Prevent hostile takeovers or governance attacks
- Protect the core values and mission of PiggyVerse
Poiki's veto power diminishes proportionally as the community grows, maintaining balance between founder vision and community autonomy.
This clause cannot be amended or removed except through a supermajority vote (75% + Poiki approval), ensuring the stability and integrity of PiggyVerse's foundational governance.
Article I: Rights of Citizens
Every verified member of PiggyVerse has the right to:
- Participate in governance votes
- Submit proposals for community consideration
- Join clans and contribute to their development
- Access all public documentation and governance records
Freedom of Expression
Members may freely express their views, create content, and engage in discourse, provided they adhere to community standards of respect and constructive dialogue.
Article II: Clan System
The clan system is a core organizational structure within PiggyVerse, allowing members to organize around shared interests and goals.
Clan Rights and Responsibilities
Each clan may:
- Define its own internal governance structure
- Manage clan-specific resources and treasuries
- Create clan-specific rules (that don't conflict with this Constitution)
- Vote collectively on clan-related proposals
Clans must:
- Respect the constitutional framework
- Maintain transparent financial records
- Allow fair entry and exit for members
- Contribute to the broader PiggyVerse community
Article III: Amendment Process
This Constitution may only be amended through the following process:
- A constitutional amendment proposal must be submitted
- The proposal enters a 30-day deliberation period
- A vote is held requiring 75% supermajority approval
- Poiki must approve the amendment (veto power)
- If approved, the amendment takes effect after a 14-day grace period
This high threshold ensures stability while allowing for necessary evolution.
Article IV: Dispute Resolution
Disputes within PiggyVerse shall be resolved through:
- Clan-level mediation for internal clan matters
- Community arbitration for inter-clan disputes
- Constitutional review for matters involving constitutional interpretation
- Poiki intervention only in cases of existential threats
All proceedings must be transparent and documented.
Article V: Treasury and Resources
Treasury Management
The PiggyVerse treasury belongs to the community and must be managed with transparency and accountability. All expenditures above 10,000 PIGGY tokens require community approval through standard governance processes.
